The Butleigh Pavilion
A purpose built multi-function building that can cater for a whole host of events both private and for the community
The Pavilion is located at Backtown in the village of Butleigh within easy reach of both Street and Glastonbury.
Sporting Events
The facilities at Backtown have been used for many sporting events. As well as the pavilion building the grounds extend to approximately 3 acres and include a full size football pitch with solid frame goal posts and nets. An artificial cricket wicket, a separate recreational grass area for multi use and 2 mobile football goals that can be positioned as required are also available for use. A basket ball hoop and a concrete table tennis table are both located on the tarmac area.
The changing rooms are included in any sporting event hire.
We welcome any enquiries from sports clubs / organisations looking to hold sporting or recreational events at our facility.
Some of the sporting events that have been held at the facility:
- Various Football clubs using the facility as their home ground throughout the football season.
- Junior Football.
- Football training.
- Tag Rugby.
- Annual Butleigh Multi terrain 10k race.
- Butleigh Cycle Sportive.
- Pilates – weekly classes in the main hall.
- Bootcamp fitness classes.
- Junior Cricket.
- Table Tennis.
